We've been learning about 2d and 3D shapes. To show our learning of the attributes we built various shapes out of toothpicks and marshmallows !

Pen pals

We have adopted new pen pals. We are writing back and forth to first graders. We are loving it! 

Our new writing unit

We will be starting a persuasive writing unit all about making the world a better place ! Today we kicked it off by cleaning trash on the playground and writing about it and telling people to clean their trash!

Cranberries

Ask your student 3 facts about cranberries! That is our topic this week! We will even be trying some on Friday! 

Base 10 blocks

Base ten blocks. We have been using base ten blocks to determine tens and ones . We've realized it's much easier to count by tens! Of course before we started using them as math tools we got to play with them! They all said they look like French fries!
